Me, Mine, and Not Yours

Here are some images from our collaborative Houston show, Me, Mine, and Not Yours (on view August 21- September 26, 2009 at Lawndale Art Center).

Text from show:

I’ve grown tired of your company, I wish you would go away, I need a moment to myself, could you please be quiet. After years of living with someone these are things that we often think when our “other” walks into the room. What if we were no longer polite, what if domestic politics took over our house, what if we could simply employ the tactics of our childhood to gain that needed isolation?

Me, Mine, and not Yours is the resulting installation and videos created by our antiheroes who playfully make suggestions and recommendations of isolationist tactics that anyone can employ to gain some alone time.

Added to radiator cover and other projects

During the holiday weekend I added shelving above the radiator cover, cut down the bedside tables, and put shelves in the bedroom.

The first radiator cover is done!

Home projects in place of art

Been working on a lot of house stuff instead of art. The projects seem to be sorta fulfilling that old creative drive.

Planter beds, sod, small roof, baby's room mural, and radiator covers coming soon.
